NUDO - Siempre hecho a mano.

Founded by Robert Ramirez and Melissa Riling in 2017, NUDO (which translates to “knot” in Spanish) is a design company honoring the traditional designs and weaving techniques of Robert’s father’s native country, El Salvador. Working alongside Robert’s father, Rafael, and master weaver, Anderson Cruz, both from Chalatenango, El Salvador, NUDO produces traditionally hand woven hammocks and swings with a modern aesthetic.

At NUDO we aim to re-conceptualize comfort. With endless customization options we aspire to extend the versatility of hammocks and hanging chairs, making the physical experience of leisure readily available within the parameters of contemporary living. The NUDO design collective consists of Chalate + New York-based artisans and designers contributing their craft and creative perspectives to a common platform. We use only fair labor practices and the finest, most sustainable materials available for all our products.
